Clear The 'Memorabilia' aka Junk
Once you reach retirement age, it's important to reduce your baggage. Not everyone will have the emotional attachment to the stuff that you've collected over your lifetime - it's better to sell, donate or trash as much as possible. We don't want our heirs to complain about our hoarding once we're gone...take charge of your possessions and distribute, eliminate or trash before you go.
In Scandinavian countries, there's a concept called Swedish Death cleaning where you organize, get rid of furniture, clothing, jewelry, etc...eliminate the mountain of documents in a systematic manner and live a less stressed life.
In case you decide to move, you'll also have less baggage and live clutter free. Focus on the essentials rather than on superfluous things.
Even if you don't move, take the time to sort, sell, throw or gift as many items as possible. It reduces stress and allows you to feel more in control of your space.

The rate of duty applicable on some goods imported by passengers returning to India is 15.3%. The passenger must show proof of stay in the US for more than one year in the past 2 years. Goods such as electronics, television, air conditioner, refrigerator and dish washer are charged at the above mentioned duty rate.
